Doris Ward is an award-winning fitness trainer and lifestyle coach who has proven her dedication, drive, and commitment to excellence in the health and fitness industry.
She is a native of Sackville NB and has made Cornwall PE her home since 2014 and now offers her services at the Cornwall Town Hall. She is a go-getter, who loves to challenge herself and others to excel and feel their best from the inside out. Ward not only teaches and trains, but lives the fitness philosophy by maintaining an active lifestyle participating in over 100 fundraising races across PEI, NB, and NS. She has been a runner for over 20 years and paired her love of running with strength training, Pilates, and yoga.
Partner with Doris and she'll guide you along your chosen fitness path. She will show you how to safely and effectively reach your goals through planning, consistency, and having fun! With 17+ years of career success, she can be the coach that makes all the difference in your mind and body and show you the benefits of the lifelong choice to make your health and fitness a priority.
She has helped hundreds of clients reach their goals and develop healthy habits through results-oriented functional workouts using mind-body connection techniques. Doris designs innovative and energetic circuit-style programs that include core stabilization, balance training, and total body strength.
Doris takes health and fitness seriously to ensure her clients get the most out of their time and loves supporting others to feel their best. Each exercise program is customized for every individual's needs and goals because every client is unique and deserves their own personalized program. She leads your sessions with professionalism, passion, and a proactive attitude.

Since her fitness career began in 2003, Ward has successfully trained hundreds of clients ranging from beginners to athletic enthusiasts. She is a writer for the national health and fitness magazine Optimyz, and has been certified in Personal Training, STOTT Pilates, Schwinn Cycling, BOSU, Group Fitness, Yoga, Life Coaching, Mental Health First Aid and has training in Mindfulness and Peer Support Group Facilitation.
She was named Personal Training Specialist of the year in 2018 by Canfitpro. In 2019 she was listed in the Top 100 Health and Fitness Influencers in Canada for her role in her community for impacting positive change in the lives of others to get and stay active. Doris was chosen as a finalist in 2019 for Fitness Professional of the Year with Canfitpro for demonstrating exceptional leadership, motivation, and technical skills and inspiring clients to achieve their goals.
